To create a functional and scalable platform where users could apply for devices, manage repayments, and where the team could handle growing demand behind the scenes.
Keza Africa’s digital product offered a new way for people and businesses to access technology without the heavy upfront cost. By combining flexible payment plans with a seamless digital experience, the platform made it easy to apply for devices, track repayments, and stay on top of the process from any device.
Shaped the product from MVP to a full financing platform as the sole designer.
Designed end-to-end user flows and dashboards, leading multiple redesigns to simplify onboarding, speed approvals, and improve usability.
Built admin and partner dashboards to support operations at scale.
Created marketing assets — including pitch decks and social media content — to communicate Keza’s vision, attract users, and support growth.
After validating the MVP, the next step was to spark interest and connect with early adopters. We needed more than a static sign-up form — the waitlist was created to engage users while reinforcing trust in Keza’s mission.
No platform to build anticipation post-MVP.
Users lacked clarity on Keza’s value and mission.
No structured way to gather feedback pre-launch.
Designed an interactive waitlist site aligned with brand storytelling.
Balanced product information with simple sign-up.
Created a feedback loop through early user engagement.
With traction building, we needed to move beyond MVP limitations and establish the foundation of the product. The business goals were to smooth onboarding, integrate verification systems, and create tools to handle rising demand.
Users couldn’t track repayments.
Lack of integrated credit checks and ID verification.
Guarantor information not systematically collected.
Admin team overwhelmed by application volume.
Built repayment-tracking dashboards for users.
Added credit checks, ID verification, and guarantor collection flows.
Designed the first Admin dashboard to manage applications efficiently.
As adoption grew, feedback revealed friction in the user journey. V2 focused on reducing bottlenecks, improving mobile usability, and scaling the platform for both users and the internal team.
Long, time-consuming application form.
Slow approval process.
Mobile experience was poor.
Users missed payments without reminders.
Admin system couldn’t support a larger team.
Streamlined application form for faster onboarding.
Optimized approval workflow and added payment reminders.
Redesigned mobile user dashboard for accessibility.
Built a multi-level admin system with role-based permissions.
Introduced business, vendor, and third-party retailer dashboards.
Finally, we embarked on a mission to elevate the experience, making it not only functional but delightful. Building on user feedback, we expanded offerings, simplified flows, and added features to strengthen trust and engagement.
Application journey still felt cumbersome.
Limited device options and accessories.
Weak repayment enforcement for late users.
Application statuses were unclear.
No content to keep users engaged outside the core flow.
Adopted an e-commerce-style landing page for browsing deals.
Expanded catalog to include laptops, tablets, and accessories.
Added repayment timers and stricter late-payment rules.
Customized dashboards by user state and application status.
Launched a blog to provide tips, updates, and product insights.
